afternoon:
seattle (+143) over baltimore
mariners teased their backers all weekend long in anaheim by jumping out to early leads as big underdogs and then pissing them away.
thursday vs. anaheim, led 5-0...need 13 innings to win 6-5
friday vs anaheim, led 5-4 going into the 8th as +200 dogs....blew the game
saturday vs anaheim, led 5-0...blew that lead...game goes into extra innings, seattle scores once in top 11th....then allows 2 in the bottom of the frame
sunday vs anaheim, get out to a 2-0 lead, then lose 3-2 in the late innings.
so im not sure if seattle is going to c0ck tease again or if theyll get it done, but im backing them here. baltimore is absolutely pathetic against left handed pitching and villone has pitched really well lately. birds hitting just .246 against lefties this year (as opposed to .293 vs righties). ponson is the most inconsistent pitcher in the world. who knows if he will throw a gem or last 2 and 2/3rds. i see this game as a complete tossup and am getting a great price with the mariners
