believe me when i say i want to take florida today...but i have not seen a post for the cubs yet and that is scary....reminds me of pitt yetserday..where we had maybe two people in here on the brewers....im looking at this cubs game and saying florida is the play with WILLIS...especially after playing them last night i would normally have no problem coming right bask with them today after a loss...

but ZAMBRANO ISNT EXACTLY A CHIT BAG HERE...sure he has struggled his last few starts but he is a better home pitcher this year..his two bad starts were on the road...prior to that he pitched lights out against the chisox at home.....what im worried about is that zambrano may match this kid for 7 innings and the florida bullpen comes in ...which has BAD numbers on the road

florida pen on the road has blown 8 saves...6.67 era and 1.76 whip ..in 133 innings pitched this pen has given up 177 hits...

now the cubs pen isnt exactly lights out but they are decent at home...4.50 era/1.41 whip..5 blown saves..

the upside is that floridas pen is much better in day games...only a 3.94 era..83 hits in 89 innings pitched much better numbers..

cubs pen in days is slightly lower at 4.30 era...

what startles me is that in the last 7 games..both pens have been atrocious

florida..6.10/1.69 ..20 ip ..15 ER..22 hits
cubs ...8.27/2.08...15 ER...21 hits..

if the game comes down to the pens this game is a toss up...

the questions however are will chicago be able to score runs off Willis...they have been hitting lefties pretty well....

or if they cant score..will Zambrano be able to keep cubs in the game...??

tough game...

i agree spock..the boston over looks very easy...but a lot of boston overs have this year...both line-ups can hit the others starters..at least thats what the numbers say...

as for the cubs game ..i just dont know...im heading to a meeting soon...so ill have to decide..may jump on the under with you...

im leaning twoards the cards as well..but i may just wait till the late games insteda of forcing a play

good luck ..and have fun at the game

redsox have lost 12 games this season in their opponents last at bat...including yesterdays loss...

following the first 11 such losses the redsox are 8-3 ...

1.) sox plus 140
2.) over 9.5....

agree with spock 9.5 looks low and too easy...as well as a popular play..but could easuly be reached by eother of these teams alone...

cooz, Minute Maid Park avg 9.55 runs per game, then we have 2 struggling SPs in Redding and Haynes. Randazzo's last 2 games had combined 22 runs scored, plus 16BBs. His strike called % is also down from previous yrs, and consequently he's avging more than 2 BBs per game compared to last 2 yrs. I think this is a good combo for an over with both pitchers struggling. Higher chance of having runners on base if we get a couple of taters from these 2 high powered offenses. Hopefully Bagwell shows up tonite.

Good luck, dood:D
