Well, it was smooth sailing to start the year, but I'm running in troubled waters right now, and I'm definitely taking on water. I'm gonna keep fighting here and try to weather this storm without taking cover and letting things pass.
Okay, cut me some slack.......I've never been sailing in my life, although I have been known to have a "few too many", and I can curse a blue streak, so this was the best I could come up with. (Oh yeah, and look what it's leading too........)
Stand back, cuz here it comes: today's lone play:
SEATTLE MARINERS (+125) There are some numbers working against me here, starting with each team's respective road and home records, as well as Drese's undefeated record at home. However, Drese sports an 8.10 career ERA versus Seattle and I really like what I've seen from this Nageotte kid. I also think the trip through Pittsburgh was just what the doctor ordered for this ailing Mariner squad, and the confidence on the club should be much higher. They feel if they can continue to creep towards .500, they can still be heard from before all is said and done in the AL West.
Aye, mate.
