Mad Jack Quotient Summary

I've got some extra time this morning so I will recap how I calculate the Mad Jack Quotient (MJQ) that I use to grade everyone's baseball picks every day.
First off, I pay NO attention to how many units, stars, asterisks, etc are placed beside each play. I simply grade each play as a 1 unit play. The reasoning behind this is to reward cappers who are consistent and post lots of winners, not a capper who loses his first 3 picks of the night at 2 units each, and then posts a 20 unit play that happens to win in the late game.
Second, I ignore all parlays (win or lose) because baseball parlays will always pay differing amounts based on which teams are involved.
Third, if you don't post any lines with your picks, then I simply use the lines that I have at my disposal to grade your card.
Lastly, at the end of the night, I add up everyone's card based on all the picks being 1 unit picks and I list all those with a MJQ (Mad Jack Quotient) of 2.00 or better on the Daily Leader Board.
As I have said before, it is not a perfect system but I believe it is a good one to reach the goals that I feel are important and that is to give some recognition to the hot cappers and to the consistent cappers.
