YTD: 96-94-7 (+1.71)

FSU @ NCSU:

Trap Play? Those were the 2 words that kept coming to my head as I pondered this line initially. I had ?expected? a line of 10 points before I saw the first line come out. Here?s a bit of history on the series between the Noles and the Pack. In the past 10 meetings, the Pack has won EVERY SINGLE ONE! 10-0 SU and 7-2-1 ATS. In the past 5 home game against the Noles, the Pack has won by 11, 15, 25, 10 and 8 respectively for an average of 13.8 winning margin. In the last match-up in Tallahassee, the Pack had the lead throughout the game with FSU making a run at the end of the game. The Pack was ?lucky? to get out of there with a win considering the recent play of FSU at HOME (wins over UNC, Wake and GT). The Noles are on a 20 game road-losing streak when they visit other ACC teams. I watched a little bit of the last game FSU played against Maryland and they were in the game till the last minute even with 2 very bad scoring slumps in the game. The injury to Pickett?s hip will be of MAJOR concern. If anyone can confirm his playing or not, that will be appreciated. For anyone who did not watch the game, Pickett went after a lose ball and fell thru the Terps bench on his side. He did not play the final minute of Sunday?s game and the Terps were able to open the game up to a comfortable margin and cover. Richardson is a local boy and I do expect him to try to put on a show for his friends and family that will be coming to the game. Another factor that plays into my play is that FSU only has a 1 day rest (Monday), so they will not be going home, but rather coming straight to Raleigh to get ready for Tuesday nights match-up with the Pack. The Pack played on Saturday at UVa, giving them one more day rest to get ready for FSU. By now, the majority of you have learned of the Pack?s rise to the upper level of ACC play this year with a 10-0 record at home (7-2 in ACC)! Other numbers include a 14-5 SU and 11-4 ATS record so far this year! The Pack continues to amaze even me and will continue to ride their streak till they prove me otherwise. In the last game at Uva, I saw the Pack continue to play their excellent pressure defense while being able to get good open looks at the basket. The only concern that I had was Evtimov and his 3 pt shooting, but hopefully he can get out if his funk like Sherill did earlier this season. The freshman duo of Atsur and Odonnell continue to get better and better as the season goes on. The Pack will have to do the same against the Noles, but should be a little bit easier at home. One concern is that the Pack might be looking ahead to the Duke game, but luckily that game is not till Sunday, so they should be focused on getting another quality win and hopefully a cover for us on the Pack. This will be a 2 Unit play for me. Feel the Pack should make this a statement game and win comfortably by double digits.

NCSU -7.5 (-104) 2 Unit Play

Pickett vows to play N.C. St.
By Jack Corcoran
DEMOCRAT STAFF WRITER

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Tim Pickett watched the last 52.6 seconds of Florida State's 73-62 loss at Maryland on Sunday.

But Pickett, who crashed into the Terrapins' bench in a scramble for a crucial rebound, said he would play Tuesday at North Carolina State.

"I'm going to go," Pickett said. "No doubt about it."

Pickett was unable to come up with the rebound on Chris McCray's shot in the final minute. McCray eventually gained control, allowing him to get to the foul line. He hit two free throws, extending Maryland's lead to 68-62.

"I was running for the loose ball and the next thing I know I was upside-down on the chairs," Pickett said. "I felt the chair hit me right by my tailbone. It felt like something pinched me. It's like a little bruise right now."

Pickett remained down for a couple minutes. He limped to FSU's bench holding his right hip.

"Let's just hope it's not an issue," FSU coach Leonard Hamilton said.

Michael Joiner also was aching afterward. He banged his knee in a collision with Maryland's John Gilchrist but also expects to play against the second-place Wolfpack.

I never know what FSU team will show up the on that beat UNC or the one that lost to the Terps?

Big news about Pickett! He is the floor general for that team. Hope it plays out for you.

I've also been riding NC St. at home for the past month or so and see no reason to stop now. IMO they are a better team than Maryland this year and with the quick turnaround by FSU I have to believe they'll come out sluggish. Hopefully NCSt. gets off to a much better start than they did against Wake.

any thoughts on the total and who matches up with pickett.i was thinking hodge and sherill rotate on him.hope he doesn't go off for 30 points tonight.think you are right about richardson.he could get hot if he gets alot of playing time.if he does i see game going over.hope state goes inside vs tough fsu defense and doesn't throw up 41 3 pts shots like they did vs ga tech.good luck

Good Luck toy!!! When I first saw the line, I was thinking FSU, but the more I look at it the more I like NC State. Plus you're on them.

total set at 130.5....tough one to gauge...if pack plays like they did at UVa then Under, but that 2nd half came close to going over...would lean over....last 10 matchups yield a 6-4 edge on the over....not playing it, but gl to you if you are...

gl man.

north carolina state is a tough team to figure sometimes, but that team is loaded with talent. im not telling you anything you dont already know, lol. but when they play their game, its not a stretch to say they are as good as anyone in that conference, duke included. and fsu is night and day away from home. i will never ever bet against fsu at home, but theyre ripe to get smacked here in raleigh. gl with your play
