Tuesday, May 21st - Boston Celtics vs. NJ Nets
After being defeated in game one as the Nets out played Boston in every category, I look for Boston tonight to make some adjustments and play a much better game! Boston will definately have to prevent the fast breaks by NJ as in game one the Nets scored 19 points by either lay-ups or dunks. Another key to victory will be containing or atleast slowing down Jason Kidd as in game one he was simply impressive racking up 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists to give him the first triple-double in Nets' playoff history. Kidd also sank 9 of 10 free throws.
New Jersey has now taken the cash in eight of their last 10 contests, and the Nets are now riding an amazing 6-0 straight up and ATS winning streak at home. During this run New Jersey has been lighting up the scoreboard, pushing the total over in six of thier last seven overall contest.
Despite the strong numbers posted by the Nets, Boston has to now be looking at this as a must win game. Heading back to Beantown 0-2 will probably mean lights out for the Celtics. So again, look for adjustments to be made and expect a better outing from the Celtics. I also like the fact that Boston is 24-11-1 ATS after a loss this season. A solid team that has the talent to "Bounce Back" like the Celts do, usually do this very thing, especially in big games!
