nosed around the board tonight and saw the likes of volfan, kcwolf, tiger ie, and others and it hurt my feelings at first, thought someone had scheduled a madjack's oldtimers' convention and i didn't get the memo. ah, the good old days at madjacks, when the cappers understood the parallels of life and sportsbetting (you know, marathon not a sprint, yadayadayada.)
anyway, that reminds of the parable of the old bull and the young bull, standing on the hillside gazing down on the pasture below full of young, nubile cows.
"c'mon old bull," the young bull panted, "let's run down the hill and fcuk one of those cows!"
"calm down, son," the old bull replied with a sly grin. "why don't we just walk down the hill and fcuk them all?"
all this nostalgia has inspired me.
mississippi st -8-: not a good spot for the torreros, coming off the christmas layoff traveling west to east, which has been a bain to them earlier in the season. san diego still strugging for consistency this season has had a steady string of chemistry problems. top scorer tremaine johnson just returned before the break after an eight game suspension in time for a home loss to boise st. point guard and sr team leader brandon johnson was lost for the season a couple weeks ago to an achilles injury. now they travel into starkville to face a mississippi st team that is a ballbuster at home, shooting 47% and scoring 76 ppg ( and that includes a 30% shooting lapse against uncc). tiger d is holding opponents to 33% from the floor and 59 ppg. state. san diego scoring about 60 on the road. state is playing their first home game in two weeks in preparation for the sec schedule.
looks like all the ingredients for a rout to ol' loophole.
old men rule!
or, the older i get, the better i was.
