Niagara +5
A win tonite would give Niagara a 4th or better finish in the MAAC, an important position because it gives them a first-round bye in their tourney.
Different situation than back in January when Siena beat Niagara 78-73 in Buffalo; these are two teams going in opposite directions.
Both teams beat the worst team in the league, Loyola-Maryland, by double digits their last time out. But before that game, Siena had lost 3 straight including two home losses to Rider and Marist. In those 3 games Siena shot a pitiful 37% from the field.
Niagara started the year out slow at 1-5 but is 12-5 since. The Purple Eagles are coming off 3 wins and since the loss to Siena back on January 14th, Niagara is 7-2 with the only losses being to Manhattan (at home) and to a fired up Iona club on the road.
Niagara has revenge on their mind from the earlier loss this season and a big loss in last years MAAC championship to Siena.
Both teams have actually played better on the road this year than at home, Niagara is 8-4 ATS away. Tonight's crowd should be limited somewhat by the weather.
IMO Niagara has a chance to win SU, but this should be a hard fought close game and I think it will stay within the five.
