Minnesota -4 BIG! (At Olympic)

Well it looks like we've got some value here as the Minnesota Golden Gophers are being bet down to a -4 (line opened at 5.5) as they host the undefeated Central Florida Golden Knights. The 4-7 Gophers are coming off a home loss to Arkansas Little Rock, and will be looking to take out their frustrastions against a UCF team that has not faced any comparable competition. UCF is 6-0 against the likes of Stetson, Jacskonville, Florida Atlantic, Florida Tech, Bethune-Cookman and Rollins...need I say more? UCF has only had one lined game this year, which they covered vs. Fla Atlantic (-13.5). Furthermore, this is the first road game of the season for UCF, which will not bode well against an angry Gophers' squad. Minnesota will want a good win here before heading out on the road vs. UNLV. Let's also put things in perspective here as Minnesota has faced stiff competition, including the likes of UAB, Clemson, Marist, Southern Illinois, Arizona State and Montana. While they lost most of these games, these outings against tougher competition have only hardened them. I don't know about anyone else, but I have no problem putting my hard earned money on a battle-tested, bitter team like Minnesota against a team that has had their best start since 1979-80.

GO GOPHERS GO!

Predicted score: Minnesota 71-56

Not to toot my own horn, but once again strength of schedule plays a big role here as a battle tested team like Minnesota shows up against a team with a perfect record that really hasn't faced anyone. Nonetheless, Minnesota is now 2-7 ATS this season. Fade the Gophers when they visit UNLV next.

Cheers,
