Not real big in playing dogs, but Cin and TB are more of a situational play for me.
Lieber is pitching for the Cubs against the Reds. The last time the Cubs played, Lieber pitched and won. This will be the first game played for the Cubs since he pitched. This means he could start back to back games and win both. This hasn't been done by a Cubs pitcher in 50 years. I am betting he won't do it. Besides Dessens is pitching for Cin. He has a trend of Win-Loss-Win-Loss. He lost his last time out.
The TB play is a play on a situational chaos trend. The situation is that Boston is in complete chaos both on the field and in the clubhouse. Ramirez isn't happy, Everret is suspended, and Bichette will be out for about 4 games because of tendinitis in his right elbow. On top of that Nomo has lost 4 out of his last 5 with an ERA of around 6.0 during that span, and has already said he wants out of Boston.
