- Nashville had a strong 3rd period against the Hawks. Rinne 2nd star of game... he looks poised for a strong run of good goaltending.
- Colorado also had a strong 3rd period, down 3-0 after 2 vs Detroit. When they play with confidence, they become a dangerous team and can beat anyone... If the team's play can inspire Varlamov, they look to be good spoilers down the stretch.
- St-Louis is going on a run. They are not a +4 win/loss differential team. With the addition of Bouwmeester and Leopold, the Western conference playoff picture sure looks to be very entertaining and intense. Elliott is back in the mix and got the win against Minnesota, should help his confidence... he needs it.
- Calgary trades Bouwmeester. You don't need to re-read Monday/Tuesday's notes to get the picture on where they are heading... Will they end up surprising like Ottawa has, despite the trades? I doubt it.
- Edmonton playing good hockey. Looking forward to the game against Los Angeles this Saturday. They could very well be in a position where they aim for a 7th straight win. Should be a fun game to watch.
- Anaheim look to have gotten their groove back. Could they come out with back-to-back-to-back wins against Dallas? I love thos 3-game mini-series. Less travelling (better for the environment) and momentum from prior game(s) adds extra insight for us. NHL should have more in next year's regular season. :0074
- San Jose playing great hockey. I wonder if Clowe gets traded or not... Despite him being a healthy scratch tonight, not sure it's going to happen. If many teams are interested, then why would you want to trade him away heading into the playoffs? Just checked their payroll... that is the only reason why they trade him away.
- Vancouver not the same team w/o Kesler & co. on the IR.
