Record 7-5

Lost with Uconn last night. I don't think Calhoun did a good job as he allowed Pitt to dictate tempo in the second half. I thought they should have pressed, not to steal the ball, but to make Pitt get out of it's slow methodical offense. They didn't and allowed Pitt to stay in the game. Almost lost. Uconn is out of control though and that will pose a problem later on in the season. Calhoun seems to just put five guys out there and they run wild. That style will win many games, but may catch them at tournament time.

Be back later. I really like one game.

Hope you don't mind if I ask in your thread about bowling....

I'm currently carrying a 196 avg, which is down a few pins from the end of last season. Bowled our city tourny last weekend and shot 674 in singles, but threw a shoe in doubles, only rolling a 562....:(

You going out to Reno for Nationals by any chance, and if you are, when is your trip? We are out there May 17-22, as one of the guys I go with owns a house here in town and always waits until all his leagues are finished to go to Nationals so that he xan just shut the house down for two weeks.

Sorry, got a little lengthy there. Good luck with your plays. I also chase the little white ball around, but I'd hardly call what I do golfing...... :tongue

196 not a bad score. I am down five pins from last year to currently 202. Oil patterns keep changing and it seems as if they are taking it further down the lane. i am in two different leagues on wed. and thurs. just haven't been able to stay consistent lately. i threw 2 300's last year and wow what a rush the first one was. i have never felt any pressure like that even in my finest moments in hoops. never. i have begun to discuss some different tournaments with a professional and passed on the regional at cuyahoga falls in december. just not confident right now to try on the big boys. in regards to Reno, probably not, but will be the first to let you know. hit your spares and everything will be alright.

Syracuse at Seton Hall (-2.5)

Cuse third game on the road as a dog. won the first two pretty easily. don't understand why they are a dog again quite frankly. tough to play on the road let alone three in a row. all this with pitt on saturday night. i really like this spot for the Hall.

Seton Hall -2.5 big

gl to all.

GLUCK JR11....LIKE THE HALL AS WELL.

keep hitting the head pin...202 damn nice avg. bro.
im a 170 and i know that was pretty hard to get to.
hoping to improve, but i believe the excessive iron city consumption is affected my score.

Steel, your the man. Looks like we might be putting together a reunion and you certainly invited. Always like you and the wizzard agreeing with me....or me agreeing with you guys. I saw this line first thing this morning on the internet and said to myself noway. i go through through about 7 or 8 beers in three games myself on wed. and thurs.. hard not too. i think it helps me out because it slows me down. i get in trouble when i go to fast and fire the ball down the lanes. tempo...most important thing in sports. hit you spares and you will make the 170 increase at least ten pins or so. especially the one pinners. good luck to you too.

With you on the Hall, jr11. Looking good so far..but hate to put the jinx on....lol.

Hear you about those spares. I'm actually up a few pins from the end of last season, but am hoping to avg 200 for a season. Never done it, and after 30 yrs of bowling (I'll be 40 in Sept) its time.
I've shot a couple of 279s, and had 9 in a row once, but still looking for my first 300. One of the guys I go to Nationals with rolled his first 300 last Thursday night during the team event for the City tourny. Man, did we get drunk that night........

Steel, you need a fingertip ball. no clubhouse balls. I am pretty sure I have about four or five bowling balls lying around at my parents that are fingertip balls. would be more than willing to give one or two. you would have to get it plugged and redrilled for you span and finger size though. minimal cost. I seem to get a new one every year to keep up the technology. for as many bets i get in over those given nights, it more than pays off for itself. how do i get in touch with you?

redsfann, it's early and cuse surely has enough shooting to get back in this one. hopefully their legs are tired from all the travel. believe me, it is not easy to play this many road games in a row. about the 300's, wild is all i can say. nobody near you, nobody bowling for about 6 lanes each way, nobody talking, just you and the sound of pin drop. all i told myself was to follow through. pressure makes you grip the ball tighter and it will never finish, hence light hit. the second one was much easier. again just hit your spares and you will get above 200. stay clean.

Go Hall.
