Tonight:
2X-- TEXAS RANGERS +190
It has been ugly for the Rangers when facing Oakland over the last two years, but they must play the games as scheduled. At this price, I am throwing out the history here tonight. Mark Mulder makes his first regular season start since a stress fracture that ended his season last yesr. Reports are he is struggling with mechanics and some lingering pain in that hip. His spring numbers reinforce those reports. Mulder made four starts this spring and was 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA. He squandered 13 runs and 20 hits in 16 innings. I have to believe he is on a short leash as this season begins. With the opportunity to see the bullpen early again tonight, I will side with Texas as I do not see the A's escaping again tonight.

Good Luck.

mjalam,
CHAN HO PARK vs. OAKLAND since 1997
PARK is 1-4 when starting against OAKLAND with an ERA of 6.48 and a WHIP of 1.584.
His team's record is 3-4 (+0.2 units) in these starts.

MARK MULDER vs. TEXAS since 1997
MULDER is 8-5 when starting against TEXAS with an ERA of 4.66 and a WHIP of 1.397.
His team's record is 8-7 (-2.9 units) in these starts.

I like the price. Mulder is not in good form. Good Luck.

Nice info on Mulder . He has been good vs. Texas at home, ( since 2000)

vs. TEXAS H 4-1 37 32 12 12 6 26 1.03 2.92

Whip 1.03 ERA 2.92

But as indicated injuries and poor spring outing Texas looks like the way to go tonite.

TEXAS 191 *1
