I just posted similar thoughts in the HT thread.........

I just posted similar thoughts in the HT thread.........

IMHO...........

I think the very inconsistant defensive play in the NBA right now makes NBA plays very dangerous to your wallet!!

Just like last night's Rap/Hawks game. You knew when Shareef had about 6 layup flushes in the 1st period......that Toronto's defensive effort wasn't going to happen.

Heck....why would Atlanta want to play defense last night? They had Toronto out manned and out gunned offensively. Either Wilkens' gameplan really sucked or he couldn't get his players to pony up with some defense......whatever the case they deserved the thrashing they got.

Thunder......I wish I had an answer to figuring out NBA team defense (ie. when they will and won't show up to play it)!!! ez

Yes it can happen. However some will run away and hide. Then when a night like tonight you have a 5 &1 or 6 & 2 night. They will miss it. It's always the long haul. But so many think everything wil just happen all at once. Endurance have to have it. ;)

it is not just d ihave noticed teams not showing up period-night in and night out. giving up completly- there is money to be made on these games- but from a fan standpoint it makes for some boring watching. djv last year i was up only 4% on yjis date. 2 years ago i was down 4%. you are right over the long haul. is the key but it is little sad watching teams losing by 20 to 30 every night.

I hope you guys aren't doing as badly as me. By my count, the loss was 17% last night in pro ball, -3% in college ball, combined with -21% in pro football, -8% in college football, -11% on Sunday Pro BB, and including the +5% in Sunday buckets, my bankroll is down around 55% since Saturday. And that is not counting the juice! If going forward, I win 122%, I will be back to even. Ouch.

Good luck the rest of the week, but I think I will watch for a while.

I agree that there is just a lack of defense in the NBA, espically in the Eastern Conference. But last night was just complete crap I had 3 unders (all losers) but it was just a bullchit night 2 of those 3 should have easily went under. It was just complete lack of defense in games that were blowouts... chit happens.

Last night -18%

Just have to hang in there and get to work the rest of the week.

Its a long long season.

GL everyone

Pardon the use of your thread Thunder...........

Pardon the use of your thread Thunder...........

but I wanted to respond to Guns.

These teams don't have any pride even in blow out, game over type situations. I've seen more and more 2H lay up drills than normal so far this season. Very few teams leading in a "blow out" situation seem content to just milk clock......especially when playing at home.....guess they want to give their fan's SOMETHING to watch??

Maybe one ought to just lay off the unders (except on Thunder's Sundays)? If you don't feel the game will go over with your analysis.......then make it a "no play" until things shift (as they always will and do). ez

ez hit it on the head usually a blowout means the under- but these guys are just laying down- now i think this will change- bottom line i capped these games on the wrong side. i hope if you play my picks hang in there you will win. and if your coattailing someone else hang with them.

I think you make a valid point, but I still think last night was just one of those nights. I don't want to just stop playing unders because I'm shell shocked. If I cap the game and I think its going to go under I will pull the trigger. I always cap the games on my own first and then compare my picks with some of the major posters on mad jacks. I always look at Thunders plays in the NBA.

Last night I had 3 unders, then I say Thunder had the same three. I felt good, 2 of them should have won, its was just one of those nights.

GL tonight

Thunder shows no fear and jumps right back on an under.

Let's all erase yesterdays disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thunder, I show the Hou game going over. I have two ways of establishing sides. One way has Cle pulling the line by 2 and the other way has Hou pulling the line by.........2. I think Hou is on the verge of playing their best bb in a long time. Good luck tonight anyway you go.

How would you like to have this record

Sides 4-12

Totals 0-4

I think its been rough for everyone this season seems like everyone is starting to quit. I think i will be playing alot more college bball until the nba gets to be about 30 games in. GL

gsp teams that are playing bb games with it being there 3rd in 4 days are 30-11 under with aposted 180 since the start of last season and if the team there playing is rested averaging less than 94 pts per game 19-3 under in those games. i am not atrend kind of guy but there are some that hold up year in and year out this is one of them.

Thanks for the info Thunder. That goes in the minus column on it being a play for me. Do show Utah as an under.

trenolds i cannot complain i am down very little vr have been blessed it has kind of up and down, but it is early and this season last until june. that is 30 weeks of love. there are alot of people that jump ship early in bb every year. one of my very good friends is a book and he loves bb season people lose there buts. i dont play with him but he says and others i have talked to say they rake it in bb. the point i am making is to win in this sport or any other especially bb it a marathon not a sprint . being down in your br one should downsize there wagers- so you never lose your br.and never bet over your head. but my friends and many others on this forum get down and they try chasing there tail and instead of downsizing they increase there wagers. and have to bail quick. i could lose 15% 5 days straight and still have money to wager in my br to get my br back. and hopefully make money. now halaneth is right it would take awhile to work back to the positive. but that is what imean about it not bei ng a sprint. everybody here are big boys and can win or lose anyway they want to. but i will never blame officiating, coaching, overtime or any thing else on my picks. if i win or lose to me it is just another day otherwise it is not fun anymore. yesterday was not a good day i have had weeks i have lost 30% but i almost always bounce back. and if i do not life goes on. i hope everybody does well every day. gl and god bless

I jumped ship early but hardly having any time to cap since there is a lot of work @ job. But at least I jumped ship with some bills to keep me float :D

Hopefully will get lot more time in the new year.
