Still nothing on DaFoe but...
The Boston Bruins have signed unrestricted free agent left wing Michal Grosek and have re-signed goaltender John Grahame and defensemen Nick Boynton and Sean Brown, it was announced today by Bruins General Manager Mike O?Connell. All four players signed one-year contracts. In keeping with club policy, terms of the contracts were not announced.
?Having all four players signed helps solidify our roster heading into next season,? said O?Connell. ?Michal Grosek is a rugged winger who plays with an edge. He has proven in the past that he can score goals and has been a solid playoff performer, playing a big role on Buffalo?s playoff teams including their run to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1999.?
?John Grahame battled hard for us last season in a backup role, and this season he will battle for the number one job in training camp,? continued O?Connell. ?Nick Boynton had a terrific season for us last year, and we will be looking for even better things from him this year, and the same holds true for Sean Brown. It will be good for Brown to get a full year in the Bruins system and to work with our coaching staff.?
