Red Sox-Boston is one of the best road teams in baseball and they send their ace to the mound tonight. Martinez has been hot while Ortiz has not. Ortiz's ERA in his last 3 starts is 9.42. Red Sox let one slip away last night so they should get the "W" tonight.
Padres-I know that the Padres are awful on the road but they have play well against the Cubs winning 7 out of the last 10 games played between the too. Both pitchers have pitched well as of late(ERA's in their last 3 starts-Jones 1.23; Prior 1.71). Prior will walk a few and his pitch count is usually high. Hopefully we will see the Cub's bullpen early in this one. One last item, Jones is 11-1 lifetime vs. the Cubs.
Twins-Tough game to capp with opinions split about 50-50. I'll take the home team here, as Minny has one of the best records at home this season, at a very good price. Buehrle has pitched well vs. the Twins(4-1 lifetime) but his 2-0 record against them this year also carries a 9.26 ERA. Lohse is 4-0 lifetime vs. the White Sox and his ERA is 1.29 his last 3 outings. Twins should take game 1 in this series.
Braves-Not much sense in a write-up for this game as the Braves will win. Here's one stat:Brewers 4-14 vs. LH pitchers this year.
