Phil with Duckworth pitching may be the best bet on the board. The young man has shown some real stuff since being called up. He's got good stuff and the Mets haven't seen him yet. He should be able to keep the mets on their heels. Mets not exactly steller over Rusch's last few starts. Looks like a good price for what may be an easy win IMHO......

Should Kevin Brown be at -200 when he hasn't pitched since the 15th of July? This could be one of those games that you sit back and watch.

over in the phil/met game 8+, Rusch terrible last 3, Piazza, Ventura, and Ziele rested today altough Ziele came in late and delivered a clutch hit. Mets as a whole hitting lately and we know what Phill can do. Both teams played day games and should be rested enough. P.S. Mets bullpen used a lot in last 4 games, worn out.

Didn't post yesterday...and wouldn't you know it!

Liked one game...DODGERS who've I stayed away from since torching me a couple of times a week ago with that Shit-brick (American Pie) reliever Trombley. But Sheffield has been carrying this team lately and I liked the return +180 verse Maddax who I think is fading...particularly late in the season.

So, I go to play the game...1pm something start only to find out that the game already went off and the Dodgers were up 1-0! The fricken time was Eastern and I am in Vegas (Pacific time). Rooting now for the Braves when Sheffield hits a 3 run digger to lift his team to another victory. "May all your winners be passed," thoughts running through my mellon. Bummed...I played the Cowboys over the Raiders on the money-line +180 to redeem myself...

Anyway...

Today, I've played the Dodgers as an anchor game in a 4-teamer, hoping to be in position to hedge back on the run-line with the Rockies...It happens sooo many times...the Dodgers will likely lose, but I will be hoping for a 1-run victory.

Easy Over, The use of many pitchers also helps set up the rest of the series. Also Philly closer to sit out one more game of two game suspension. Both teams need a good outing from starters to give overworked pens a break.
