MIKE ROSE
2* G. MASON (+8') VS. OREGON ACTION 11:30 EST
The GM Patriots enter tonight's game with the Ducks as one of the hottest teams in the country. They've won 8 of their L/10 games SU and ATS, and will prove to be a worthy opponent in Eugene this evening. GM loves to slow the game down, and bore the other team to death. Their style of play will definitely have Oregon rattled, and it will be up to HC Kent to keep his squad in the game. GM matches up just about evenly with their opponent tonight except they have the much better defense. They "D" you to death, and value every one of their possessions. I look for GM to move very slow and methodically tonight to get the Ducks out of rhythm, and most importantly, quiet the crowd. The Ducks will have to be on fire from outside to have any shot of covering this chalk, b/c GM will contest every one of their shots. Both teams are just about identical in the FT and rebounding departments. The Patriots have already won 2 games in the NIT tourney, and they covered both as small home chalks. They were competitive on the road this season going 9-8 SU & 8-7 ATS. We'll back the better defensive squad in this tussle, and hope they have what it takes to bite one more time this year.
