Syracuse at Notre Dame
--Syracuse (21-4 straight up, 12-9 against the spread) is 5-4 both SU and ATS on the road.
--When these teams met at the Carrier Dome on Feb. 15, the 'Cuse rallied for an 82-80 home win as a 2 1/2-point favorite. 'Cuse backers weren't given the chance to win because Hakim Warrick made an unusual play in the waning moments. Warrick rebounded a Notre Dame miss with four seconds left. Before Notre Dame could foul him to stop the clock, Warrick heaved the ball high into the air. When it finally came down, time had expired. In retrospect, it was probably a smart play on Warrick's part. But for our purposes, gamblers backing the Orangemen -- including yours truly -- were chafed beyond belief because Warrick would've been fouled and given an opportunity to cover at the charity stripe.
--The Orangemen rallied Saturday to force overtime at Georgetown. In the extra session, Jim Boeheim's club put away the Hoyas en route to a 93-84 win as a 2 1/2-point underdog.
--The 'over' has appeared in five of the last seven 'Cuse games with a total.
