Senators at Hurricanes

--Ottawa, just two points ahead of Detroit in the race for the Presidents Trophy, has followed a five-game winning streak with a two-game losing skid.

--The latest setback occurred Sunday when the Senators dropped a 6-2 decision at Detroit. The combined eight goals enabled the ?over? to improve to 5-1 in Ottawa?s last six contests.

--Ottawa is 2-0-1 against the Hurricanes this season, including a 4-4 tie on Nov. 19 as a $1.15 favorite in the lone game at Carolina. The ?over? is 4-1 in the last five games between these squads.

--Carolina is off Saturday?s scoreless tie against Los Angeles. It was the third time the Hurricanes have been blanked in their last six games.

--The Flames are getting outscored on enemy ice by an average of 2.9 to 2.2 en route to a 13-19-3-3 ledger. The ?over? is 18-14-4 in 38 road dates.

--These clubs have split a pair of games this season, with Calgary registering a 2-1 overtime victory on Jan. 18 as a $1.20 favorite in the lone home game.

--Los Angeles returns home for a four-game homestand after going 1-1-1 on a three-game road excursion. The squad is coming off Saturday?s 0-0 tie at Carolina, the sixth time the Kings have been blanked this season.

--The Kings are outscoring the opposition at home by an average of 2.7 to 2.5 on their way to an 18-16-1-0 record. The ?under? is 14-11-10 in 35 dates at Staples Center.
