"...Quo fas et gloria ducunt..."
still trying to find my capping legs..
got that fantastic TB win last nite..but got shafted by the D-BACKS and the ST.LOO over.

oh well, time to move on.

tonite:

game 1: taking TAMPA BAY (+170) my P.O.D.

yesterday i posted this up in the P.O.D thinking that , "what the hell do i have to lose...?", well, pretty much nothing.
we have rejuvenated T.KENNEDY on the mound tonite against ex-Blue Jay FRankie CASTILLO.
CASTILLO got shelled against the JAYZ last week and looks to rebound from that last bad outing at home. Looking at the bullpens these last few games, they pretty much make me sick. ALOT of runs have been scored in the late innings and i think that the starters will want to go atleast 7 this time to try to get the W. TB bats are smoking lately and they seem to have a knack for blowing big leads and then getting them back in the late going, can't go against this team of destiny...errr...tampa, i mean.
what better way for TB to get the road split with their best pitcher out there...?
IF TB can hit off PEDRO, NOMO , then why not CASTILLO??? ( c'mon, you guys liked the rhyming there...!!)

GAME 2:
taking ATLANTA (-165) VS METS :
yes, yes...i think it's fair to call them HOTLANTA now...they beaten up on the METS, PHILLIES and have regained first place again (according to my prediction...) , i hate to lay the high number, but i think the METS will be coming down from their buzz off that fluke CUBBIES win. sticking with the hotter team here. ATLANTA has a better batting average against lefties than the mets as well.

more to come.

GAME 3: the "get me into the green pick"

L.A (-125), following my "bet against the PADRES" at home theory, i'm thinking that L.A wants a bit of revenge against the PADRES after the beating they took from the PADRES last week in L.A...with the exact same pitchers in GAME 2.ALSO worthy of note is that SD swept the three game series IN L.A.
You know the saying,"once bitten, twice shy..."
don't think L.A will make the same mistake, twice, and if they do, this'll turn into the now infamous "kick me in the nutz" pick.

gonna have it pretty much simple tonite.

GLTA.

WS were my 'Kick me in the nutz' play this week. They do seem to be consistent in fitting into the title. I'd be careful backing LA as they too have worn this crown a few times this year. I'll pray for the safety of 'your nutz'.

There definately are teams that do this alot. (getting swept or almost swept by teams that 'shouldn't'). Brew crew comes immediately to mind (sweeping Cle and ChN then getting mega swept by Pitt???) Mil has cost most of this forum lots of dough. I am wondering if there is a trend to uncover here? A solid trend would help us profit from this phenomenom as opposed to getting kicked in the nutz. I don't know about all of you but it really hurts when someone 'kicks me in the nut$'
