New England has also come up short in its last seven ATS against teams from the NFC-North, failing three times this season. The defending champs are 0-6 ATS as favorites in 2002 and they have lost nine of their last 11 ATS when giving up 3 ? to seven points. Detroit has topped the number in six of its last seven at home when it was between 42 ? and 49 points.
WASHINGTON at DALLAS (-1): The Cowboys have won six straight at home against Washington (5-6 SU, 5-5-1 ATS) and cashed in seven of the last 10 series confrontations there. Dallas (4-7 SU&ATS) has ?covered? 10 of its last 13 as home dogs and 11 of 14 when getting seven points or less at Texas Stadium. This battle between NFC-East also-rans shapes up as a low scoring affair. The Cowboys matched their season high with 21 points last week as rookie Chad Hutchinson burned the Jaguars for 302 yards and two touchdowns. Dallas, however, has scored 17 points or less in nine of 11 games this season, slipping ?under? in eight of 11. Washington has tiptoed below the total in 17 of its last 22 on the highway, including all six appearances in 2002. They have also dipped ?under? in 13 of their last 16 on the highway against conference foes. Seven of the last 10 series tussles have also snuggled ?under?. The Cowboys have stayed below the impost in 12 of their last 15 at home facing teams with a losing record.
