Come on you guys -- someone's watching NASCAR. Let's get some friggin handicapping going.

From Martzke's column...
"Fox's Dodge Dealers 400 race posted a 5.9 national rating, the fourth consecutive week that NASCAR topped weekend sports ratings. ... NBC's Arena Football League remained at a 1.4 season average, above the 1.2 for ABC's NHL, which has dipped 14% from last year. ABC's 2.9 for the NBA edges the 2.8 on NBC last year."

We got a million guys here betting on the NBA which is getting a third of the ratings. 3 guys betting on cars.

I think Daytona got about a 7 this year. SHEEET. Monday Night Footbal was only averaging about a 10 this year.

It's getting the highest rating of anything except football. March Madness probably wrecks it.

Is it possible all the people tuning in are "Bible Belters" and scared of the gambling? Maybe.

Havin' a lot of fun betting on it in my first year of dedicated watching. When you have a couple guys running in the top 10 with 50 or so laps left, I'll be damned if you can change that channel. That's helped by cashing tickets each of the last two weeks.

Great weekend to tune in for your first race, too (or at least flip over from watching college hoops). 35 cars racing on a track that's a half mile long with 36 degree banks on the turns. DANG.

Fastest growing sport in the USA. NFL is all that gets higher rating
Soon buckets are over. I get more into it. Have taken a couple of match ups. About even, so I need to get into it more. I have watchall races so far. And if you missed that finish last week. Wow! came acrosse the finish line pounding on each other. The camera messured the win by 2 & 3/4 inches. I believe it. You had a hard time knowing the winner with out the camera.
