MINNESOTA TWINS +145 ? The Twins continue to play excellent baseball, as they are 5-2 in their last 7 games with both losses being by one run. They pounded out 16 hits last night, 12 of which came vs. the previously red-hot Jamie Moyer. I see no reason why they can?t continue their offensive barrage vs. a fill-in starter like Halama. Halama has a 5.11 ERA and a high 1.56 WHIP as a starting pitcher since the year 2000, which finally prompted his delegation to the bullpen earlier this year. Rick Reed has done his best pitching on the road for Minnesota, where he has a 3.38 ERA and a remarkable WHIP of 0.99 in 50.2 road innings. He was awesome vs. Oakland in his last start, allowing 1 run and 5 hits in 7 innings. Sure it?s difficult to win 3 straight games in Seattle, but this nice price and big edge in starting pitching makes the Twins worth the investment.
