I have posted only once in this forum and at present I am 2-0.

I feel I have two solid plays tonight and hope to keep the ball bouncing and not rebound.

Washington at Boston
Washington 6-17 ATS off 3+ Overs
Boston 5-1 ATS as a home favorite of 6 points or less

Play BOSTON CELTICS -5

The second game is New Jersey Nets -5.5 at the Atlanta Hawks. Until recently the Nets had not really performed that well away from Continental Airlines Arena. Well, that scenario has changed significantly in a very short period.

New Jersey is actually 3-0 straight up and ATS their last 3 road games and quite simply, they are playing fantastic basketball right now. Consider that the Nets have won 9 games in a row and 14 of their last 16 overall. Consider also that New Jersey has grabbed the cash in 6 of their last 7 games and are 23-11 ATS for the season.

From a fairly promising start to the year, the Hawks have slipped back to their usual ineptness. As a matter of fact, Atlanta has now lost 4 in a row straight up and ATS. Going back even further, the Hawks have dropped 10 of 12 straight up and a blistering 18 of 22 ATS. Atlanta is covering the spread at 18% over their last 22 games.

Furthermore, consider these numbers for a moment. Atlanta is averaging just 84.5 points per game over their last 10, while New Jersey is averaging 101.7. The Atlanta defense is yielding 95.4 points per game their last 10, while New Jersey is yielding 86.5. The Nets are scoring 17 points more and giving up 9 points less than the Hawks their last 10 games respectively.

Laying only 5.5 points doesn't appear like a bucket load. All indications are for a Nets blowout.

OK then back to reality.

I dont know why I picked the celtics. Went to NBA.com to see half time scores before tucking into bed and if I had known what FGP the Celtics had been shooting last ten games I would have faded this called. I must look an idiot trying to give 5 points on those percentages.

Atleast the Nets came through for me big time with a comfortable win and once more Jason Kidd ran the show. Right now this lads hot.

1* 2-1 +0.9
2* 1-0 +2.0

I will try and cap more games on a regular basis, looking at a possible play tonight between Suns and Blazers.
