Saw this quote in the New York Times a few days ago. Congressman Davis is the representative from Kentucky just across the river from Cincinnati. Just wanted to post this quote for Wayne and those MJ friends of mine from the Commonwealth to show where I get my distain for the South, the stereotypes that exist about the South, and the reason my distrust continues for that region of the country in 2008.
I know I shouldn't generalize, but g** damn it, this piece of crap, rube, will most likely get re-elected. Around here, this type of shiit is more the norm from right wing politicians and their electorate.
From the Times:
"Representative Geoff Davis, Republican of Kentucky, succumbed to the old language earlier this year when describing what he viewed as Mr. Obama?s lack of preparedness to handle nuclear policy. ?That boy?s finger does not need to be on the button,? he said."
I swear to G**, I can't believe this goes on in 2008. At the same time, I look around at the stupidity and I sure can believe it.
Sorry for the rant. Just in one of those moods. Go Joe, kick here lovely little ass tonight.
Eddie
