No doubt we'll see some qualifying matchups of Heidfeld vs. Frentzen. Heidfeld seems to be struggling of late while Frentzen has always been a good qualifier. My only concern is whether Frentzen will have to get used to the Sauber. Also Massa consistently lost to Heidfeld in qualifying.

Still if that matchup goes up I think I have to take Frentzen.

Qualifying match ups

Fisichella even money over trulli (1.5 unit)

Honda engine is stronger than Renault and the track will suit well BAR and Jordan with the long straight line. Yes Trulli won most of the match ups vs Fisi but i really feel it will be Fisi time this weekend!

More as books open their lines...

Grand Prix USA

Grand Prix USA

This has got to be the worst grand prix circuit alongwith monacco for the F1 series.
A long fast straight which favours Ferrari, Williams and the Jaguar. The slow twisting infield track suits, yes you've guessed, Ferrari alongwith Renault and McLaran.
Don't be surprised to see Schmacher resume dominance here, however the best two bets are Coulthard @ 4/6 and Fisichella @ 5/1 to finish in the points.
Coulthard drives and races this track well and the infield where downforce is at a premium enables him to stay somewhat in contention. If I remember correctly he had a podium finish last year. The circuit will also assist Fisichella, its just a matter of what Fisi turns up. If he's on his mettle a points finish is well within reach and @ 5/1 its worth the chance.

Well I'm off to the race just got back from morning practice session and ferrari is by far and away the class of the field here.
panis and sato a lil bit of a surprise to me in the final warmups. really like panis today but he seems to be having a problem keeping his car on the track. but i still like him today.

matchups

panis over button -120 360/300

schmacher to win.
1 to 2 500/250

panis to finish in the top 6.
9 to 2 200/900

will take a risk with sato to finish in top 6
10/1 100/1000

gl to all

load the cooler back up and off to the race.

btw the weather is perfect. cool right now 72 with little wind 6 mph from the south. temp should reach high 70's to low 80's mid race and with a light breeze from the south.
