I thought the read on lack of handicapping skills, hit it on the head....I for one can't verbalize the many variables that enter the decision process...Hell, I thought the athletes of UCLA would grow a pair in the second half...(great coach by the way...a fawking mook) and smoke Wyoming...I actually did not mind losing that bet, I was up for day... anytime a major gets knocked off by an inspired nobody is a wonderful story, that is why it is called "Gambling"

Anyhow I borrowed these shared thoughts on Hawaii game from another site....thank you Havanna...dog of the bowl season today

- the Rainbows came up with that pair of nice home wins over Big 10 teams that the whole world noticed because there was not many games those final two weekends....they were about a TD dog in each one of those...i am not at all convinced that the likes of MichiganSt and Northwestern are all that much better than UAB, yet there is an 11 point difference in the line...this is an enormous game for the UAB program, while Hawaii has been here done that, especially with this game....I am one of those that also thinks Chang is overrated...he has been very average when national TV has been on him over the years...my concern is that UAB really did not finish the season too smoothly..but the expectation here is that this is a team that will in fact be very focused for this game...the last 2 times Hawaii has played in this game were in '02 and '03....in '02, the Bows were a 14pt fav over Tulane and everyone was expecting them to score about 100..they managed only 28 points and lost straight up.....in '03 they came in as an 11 point fav over Houston...they scored 54 BUT it took 3OTs to get to that total and they still failed to cover.....they really just do not seem to get very excited for this game....and they already won their two big "statement" games in the games over the Big10 teams....
GLTA I think line will rise a little more as everyone jumps on Chang's final game bandwagon..
