ecu +2: gotta like what jeff lebo is doing in greenville, especially of late. while their overall record doesn't really show it, they have been improving lately in most every facet of the game. pirates coming off a nice upset of tulane, improving their home record to 7-1. their improved defense is especially noteworthy - the tulane win was their fourth consecutive game holding their opponent under its season fg%, and third straight holding their opponent under its scoriing average. last five they're holding opponents to 28.4% from the three point line. and don't forget, four of the last five pirate games were on the road.

meanwhile, the blazers seem to be showing a little fatigue playing what amounts to a six man rotation. while everyone can note the thumping they got in tulsa on saturday, what's missing from the season record is the fact that uab just made the trip to greenvillle last wednesday for a game that was ultimately cancelled because of the ice storm. that must have been an experience to forget. now it's back to greenville 48 hours after the tulsa loss to catch a peaking pirate club. also, looking at the tulsa game stats shows how complete the uab breakdown appears to the interested observer. blazers allowed the hurricane to shoot 53.8% from the floor and were outrebounded 30-17. on offense, they put up 28 treys and went 3-5 from the line - not much penetration to be seen. now contrast those numbers with ecu's defensive stats set out above.

finally, ecu gate for the tulane game was over 5200, largest crowd of the season. expect the pirate faithful to return tonight for a game that could put ecu right in the cusa hunt. perfect storm for a nice upset.

thanks guys, gonna try one more tonight and then will be gone for the rest of the evening.

app state -6-: better get this one in quick if you want it as i see the game has moved to -7 at most books, 7- at a few. 'eers have had a rough go of it in the early season. first year coach jason chapel has a good pedigree but is learning some lessons the hard way, especially in endgame situations. that's cost state a couple of one point losses in their last two, including an ugly home loss to uncg that caught them looking ahead to a showdown with socon north rival western carolina. but remember, mountaineers were picked preseason to win the north, and elon is a perennial cellar dweller. now the phoenix is playing their third conference road game in a week, while app st is just trying to get that nasty taste out of their mouth. plus, 'eers have an edge tonight with asst coach (former wolfpack pg) justin gainey on the bench. gainey was an asst at elon last season and should be able to help in preparation to defend elon's guard play. tyhat should be large as asu should dominate inside.

Great write --up's.
Just on the information you provide, I will back you.
I hate it when touts (not saying you're a tout) don't give an honest reason for betting a game. You are 10 times better and provide the LOGIC for making the bet.
Good luck !
