Been pretty hot in college lately. Started red hot, hit a bad cold streak, and last week or so been hot again. I'm pretty streaky.

I like UAB +5 tonight and like the Under 49 as well.

Good luck to all.

Unreal. How is UAB not dominating on scoreboard. Why is SMU going for 2? And, esp. after 5 yd. penalty....and then they get a tip catch for 2 pts and I'm not covering or even pushing.

Its going to be tough to lose on that.

Not with 7 minutes left. And, esp. not from the 8 yard line....

If UAB scores a TD, they would have to go for 2 just to have a 3 pt lead.

Its not worth giving up that just to go up by 6, when an extra point is all but a gimme.

And, with 7 minutes left, not likely UAB will get 2 FG's. It just doesn't make sense, and I repeat, especially after the penalty.

Also pisses me off that the 2-pointer was "inconclusive" and the 4th down catch was overturned.

I don't think the guy caught the 2-pointer and I don't think the guy caught the 4th down play.

Either way, a terrible loss the whole way around. I can't believe UAB is going to lose, period.

I agree with everything you said if this was some sort of a track meet....these two teams are lucky to have 20 points between them. That had to be on SMUs mind.....

Ok. Not going to argue. I just think you kick the PAT with that much time no matter "track meet" or not.

Can you tell me why they didn't go for 2 after that last TD? It won't matter, but only way SMU loses now is by giving up 2 TD's. Why not make it 14....whats the real difference b/t 12 and 13. Are they really counting on missed PAT's?

I can't argue with you on that point....you're right. I guess they felt UAB wasn't going to score twice at that point with 2 minutes left....shit I'm on the over....lol

Yeah, wasn't trying to argue. Just a bad beat and I don't agree with the strategy at all.

Like I say, I sort of understood the logic even though I didn't agree....but to go for 2 from the 8. I was almost happy b/c that would give me a cover instead of a push if they miss.

Then some freak tip drill catch...which may have been bobbled.

Could have been a huge night. Instead I split, but had more on UAB, so I lost money.

Not to mention the fumble that was called an incomplete pass before that...would have given UAB the ball at SMU's 30. Man, I hate it.

Anyway, thanks for the replies. We'll get 'em next time.
