Ok, so I am typically a contrarian and when a line looks too good to believe, it usually is. I get that.

Tonight is one of those nights where I see the line in this game as one that raises an eyebrow. UW is currently -8'. Personally, I think UCLA is a huge play tonight (against my contrarian nature) and need some input as to why I shouldn't feel this way...

Here are some thoughts:

I understand that UW beat UCLA (@ UCLA) by 11 back on New Year's Eve. UCLA was horrible in the early season and has had a very nice run in 2011. They're a totally different team. I like the revenge factor here.

Nelson is really playing well. Does UW have anyone to shut him down? In fact, Honeycutt and Lee have been playing really well as of late. They all seem to be clicking at the right time.

Let-down factor? The last game against Arizona was huge for the Bruins. I love the theory of a let-down game in this spot - I guess in this case, I am just having a tough time with the spread. 8' is a lot of points.

UCLA still has a good chance to get the coveted #1 seed in the Pac-10 tourney. I think they'll need to win out against UW and Wazzu so here's the motivation for this game.

A concern is that UCLA is still lacking a "big win" on the road this year and they even needed OT to win against lowly ASU. Playing at UW will be tough. Further, UW just lost their first home game of the year versus Wazzu on Sunday.

I can ramble with more thoughts but I'm looking for some insight here from my fellow MJers. Thoughts are welcomed!

GL to all!

Bruins are 1-7 Ats against the Huskies but do have revenge going for them as you said (Wash won by 11 there, why only laying 8.5 back at home)? Those 2 things make it a no play for me, any numbers aside...forced to play I'm on the Bruins.

After watching UW in that game v WSU, I tend to agree this # is too much to give the Bruins. Thomas way overrated as a pt gd & their bigs cant finish w any consistency. The Huskies have to lack confidence at this point & I cant see UCLA defense taking the night off.
That being said, I dont like this spot for UCLA. Going on the road & Wash off embarassing loss in front of these same fans! 8' pts very attractive but may have to pass on this one.

Thanks guys - really appreciated. I've been pouring over it all day and I think if I do have a play, it'll be UCLA but I'll likely keep it small.

Excellent feedback and best of luck to all of you.
