I don't post my picks often (cause I'm not that good) :142smilie and certainly not in hoops. So feel free to fade. But for me, this is a pretty big play, especially not tailing one of the rockstars here.
I like UCLA big tonight over USC. Yes, at USC, but UCLA got a wakeup call with their pasting by Arizona. Bruins played terrible D which I am sure Alford has emphasized and I like these stats in particular. UCLA ended up 45% from the field and 32% from 3. But watching that game, it seemed to me they shot even worse and missed **numerous** open looks from mid-range. USC on the other hand just went 51% from the field and an incredible 52% from 3 (14 of 27 by the way) in their win over ASU.
"USC coach Andy Enfield said it was an encouraging sign after the Trojans struggled to shoot the ball well in recent weeks. 'We can't shoot terribly every game,' Enfield said. 'Eventually, the law of averages evens out.'"
Amen Andy. I see UCLA being much more focused tonight, playing much better D, and making more shots including 3's.
I am doing 3x on UCLA (line opened at 6' and I buying .5 to make it 7 (I just have a thing about hooks). I will also do 2x on USC under 81'. USC hasn't cracked 74 in 7 of their last 8 games and hit 82 last outing against ASU shooting lights-out. I don't think that will happen again tonight against a UCLA squad that felt a bit embarrassed by their effort against the Wildcats.
Just my thoughts. Good luck if you play it. :0008
