UConn (-5.5) over G'Tech

Had great thoughts about both games this weekend but never accounted for Lewis for GT to shoot 70% from deep including 4 straight in the opening of the game. I had the right idea with UConn over Duke untill Duhon hammers in the three for no reason, oh well.

In the championship game I see a lot of running and gunning for both teams. GT has a shot if they get production from Bynum and Lewis again (would really help if Elder gets some points). Jack is always going to show up and has been impressive of late. The battle of the big men, Luke vs. O. IMO this favors Luke in the paint(Height and wing span/ he is 7'1, O is 6'9) but O has a great jump shot from 10 feet, which will draw Luke out of the paint. The other big men for UConn will have an easier task tonight then against Deng and Randolph (playing smaller not as gifted forwards for tech / IMO). Aside from Schenscher, no one on GT is above 6'9, while Boone, Villanueva and Armstrong are all 6'10. GT was able to get OKLA ST in foul trouble by driving to the hoop a lot, this plays into UConns defense, look how Duke was able to drive on UConn untill Okafor came back in the game and then the defense swallowed up drives.

X-FACTOR is Brown, he is UConn's only true ball handler, he has to stay in the game or the pressure defense will get to the huskies. IMO - Jack and Gordon will each play well, Brown and Elder will smash, Okafor and Luke will play tough, Anderson and Lewis will be the deep threats BUT the big men for UConn are too much. UConn cuts the nets down tonight.
