When they took the floor for Thursday night's game at Utah State, they did so with seven, that's right SEVEN, players. Junior forward Cameron Goettsche, was held out of practice on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, because of soreness in his groin, an injury that sidelined him for all of the early practices this season, both exhibition games and the first two games of the regular season. After missing the three practices following Sunday's loss at Cal State Northridge, it was decided that it would be too much of a risk to play him on Thursday, thus UCSB was down to seven.
