Everyone always wants to make a company that is making money out to be a villain. Here is the most important line to remember from the story (outside of the great REAL comparisons to boxing) and it's unfortunate that it is the second to last line of the story.

you also have to remember that they're the only ones who are thriving and can pay consistently.

Let's make them pay more right now, so they can no longer continue doing business. Let's slap them with a windfall tax for their ability to make profits. It's not fair the Elite XC and IFL can't make it. We should make the UFC pay for their bad business practices. :00hour

Oops. That rant turned into something unintended. :scared

Absolutely! Turns out that it was a great business move and it took a lot of hard work on their part to make the investment pay off.

It's a similar story in many businesses, though. As soon as the people that took ALL of the risk start making money then people start talking about the little guys not being paid enough.
