ULL quarterback Mike Desormeaux, who has started all 11 games, might not play today after receiving clavicle and rib injuries in ULL?s last two wins over Middle Tennessee and Florida International.
If Desormeaux, second behind Dawson in rushing (1,1141 yards) can?t play, the Cajuns will start senior Connor Morel, who began 2007 as the No. 3 quarterback.
The only quarterback behind Morel is freshman Chris Masson, whom ULL plans to redshirt this year.
Should Desormeaux remain injured and Morel go down, Bustle said the Cajuns are practicing running back Dion Wallace and receiver Richie Falgout as emergency quarterbacks.
?Right now I don?t know what we would do, but we do have contingencies,? said Bustle.
Weatherbie said he has no idea whether Desormeaux will play, but the Warhawks are preparing as if Desormeaux will play.
