Hey guys,

I just heard that the final ultimate fighter show is going to be aired
live on cable tv this Saturday (on Spike, not ppv!) which means it?ll
be freeeee. Three matches are suppose to go down, two for the
middleweight and light heavyweight championships, and one more with
SHAMROCK, "the world?s most dangerous man". I?ve seen him fight once
before (i think it was on the ultimate knockouts video) and he?s pretty
brutal. Any1 else been following the matches?

Three fights televised on Spike TV Saturday...Randy and Chuck fight the following Saturday, the 15th, on PPV from Vegas. I have watched all of the shows and am pretty confident that Stephan and Diego will win. Stephan is stronger and smarter than Forrest...Diego should whip Kenny--a first round submission, in my opinion. No opinion on the Shamrock...

Thanks for the reminder...I need to find some lines for these fights...

i agree. stephen should win. he looks like a real fighter, his punches look real painful to be on the receiving end. i like forrest, but don't see him winning. diego seems to be the better fighter also. this was one of the better reality show's. i wanted to see nathan fight, the guy who jacked up his ankle. he seemed serios about it.

munson and mjolnir,

I've been watching from the start. stephan should beat forrest but not by much. I thought forrests eye was going to open up again last fight. he took an elbow to the head and almost got eliminated because of it. In the other fight there is no way diego loses. if he gets kenny on the mat he'll choke him out. the main event will have ken shamrock in it so you know it'll be good. never heard of the guy he's fighting but they say he's pretty tough.

couture and liddel will fight on ppv the following week. they have been the coaches of the two teams from the start.

At Wagerweb, Stephan is +125...I'll definitely be playing that. Diego is a hefty -320...well warranted but pretty safe I'd say. They also have lines for the other matches of former contestants. Bobby is -450 fighting Sam and that is a little enticing.

Forrest is the better and much more accomplished fighter. He's been in high profile matches before with top notch competition. Would be surprised if he lost.

Franklin should beat Shamrock. Shammy's best days are behind him. Franklin is quicker and a much better striker.

I feel raped after they awarded that fight to Forrest...biggest crock of shyt I have ever seen in the UFC...one of the best fights but a horrible decision. UFC definitely wanted Forrest...gave Stephan a contract as consolation...puh lease

I agree it was a draw...so why not call it a draw and award both fighters a contract...to say Forrest won is just complete bs...glad they both got a contract but bs decision

BS decision? Forrest won round one (slightly) pretty much even striking-wise, but Forrest had better control on the ground and was working for an armbar when the bell rang to end the round. Bonnar won round two, but Forrest, I thought, clearly won round three. Very close fight, but to say it was BS that Forrest won is disingenuous. Bonnar certainly didn't dominate the fight, which is how you are making it sound.

And to say they 'wanted' Forrest to win, why did they give both fighters a contract then? They obviously 'wanted' Bonnar too.

As Trossi said, GREAT fight. I'm glad they gave Bonnar a contract as well...classy move

Somewhere in Corn Country
I was out of town all weekend at a bowling tournament and since I had to bowl a shift during the show, I asked my wife to tape it for me.
I got home late afternoon yesterday, and sat down to watch the fights.
I had been watching the show from the beginning--ever since I had heard that one of the fighters was from here--Sam Hogar is attending school here and traing with the Miletich camp--and I was psyched to see the fight between Bonnar and Griffith.
I think all of us that had seen the show knew that Sanchez would destroy Florian just because of the size factor, and that was exactly the case.
I was rooting for Bonnar as I thought that Griffith was a bit of an a-hole while watching the season's shows.
So I get to the start of the Bonnar/Griffith fight, and next thing I know I'm jumping around and yelling for these two dudes that are just beating the absolute crap out of each other as round #2 ends.....then, my tape ends!!!!

ARRGGGHHHH!!!!

I race up the stairs and ask my wife what happened when she went to record the show. She says I dunno, and I tell her what happened. She is very sorry and I'm going crazy trying to figure out how I'm going to watch the rest of the fight. I pick up the TV Guide and see that the replay of the show is scheduled to start at 9 PM my time last night...WHEW! I will get to see it after all. And I was disapointed in the results as I thought that Bonnar should have gotten the close decision, but how cool was it when they gave BOTH guys a contract??? Thinking back on that fight, I could see how the judges could have given the fight to Griffith as maybe I was swayed to Bonnar's side due to all of Griffith's blood being spilled all over that octagon...
Then the Shamrock fight was like the Sanchez/Florian fight--a total mismatch, and a HUGE let-down after the great fight between Bonnar and Griffith.
And maybe the coolest thing about the show was the announcement of a 2nd season on Spike TV featuring welterweights and heavyweights.

hands down and awesome 15 minutes of fighting...agree with hoops, i think they wanted bonnar to win or they wouldn't have gave him the contract although he deserved it....still think the original desicion was correct one!
