I compiled some stats that I felt useful for the 24 umpires selected for the divisional series. I assume the crew chiefs are behind the plate in game 1?

Agreed...seem to have no correlation to this year's games in general.
My own umpire work is tilting me more and more towards such getting me off of totals as opposed to leaning me towards them...an under-ump, e.g., will back me off of an over play in most situations.

I still think that John Hirschbeck is an under play or nothing...regardless of this year's numbers (where he still played under), he has the largest zone imaginable and he can keep the score down--on his own--even if there is two anti-studs going.
Just my two micro-scents.
