Wonder all you want--if you had been thru all the crap this franchise has been thru you would clap too--what a story the streak they when on to 1st all get in to the playoff, win the playoff and then sweep both NL seires-this young team has realy come together.
He is saying that the umpires were clapping. I didn't see it so I have no idea but doesn't matter what the team has been through in the ump's eyes...
I didn't watch a lot of the series, but I do know that the interference at 2nd base was a great call. The guy clearly hooked the ss after the slide.

I'm not sure if I saw the same thing you saw but I also thought that an umpire was clapping but it turned out to to be the Colorado coach
Why do you find it odd that the ump crew would show respect to the team that had just won the National League Championship? You will probably see it again at the end of the World Series. In the games that I saw I thought this crew did about as well as any I've seen.
