Why not? I have a lot riding on this game and would love to hear everyones thoughts on this game.

UNC 93
INDIANA 74

Indiana does have a solid big man in Thomas Bryant, but they don't go too deep after that. If Carolina gets him into any sort of foul trouble, the already 5 headed horse of James, Johnson, Jackson, Meeks, Hicks will have a field day. On top of the fact that Bryant is a freshman. He's got his work cut out for him. I don't think the media has done a good job putting an emphasis on HOW good UNC is on the interior. Hicks coming off the bench would be a 15pt 10reb guy from just about any program in the country. I think he has potential to be ACC POY next year. Indiana is 119th in rebounding, UNC is 5th in offensive rebounding. Carolina doesn't shoot the ball well from 3, in fact, the worst in the entire history of the program at 31%. But they don't shoot a lot, nor rely on it because of the slashing/driving abilities of Jackson/Paige as well as Johnson/Meeks/Hicks being able to score down low.

A big misconception is that UNC doesn't play defense because they play up and down. But in fact this is the best half court defensive team Roy has had at UNC in years, and maybe ever. I honestly think they're the team to beat in this tournament. They lost to Texas in Paige's 2nd game back when Felix shot the lights out and Taylor hit a buzzer beater. N Iowa came back early in the season when Paige wasn't on the floor. Their interior is a force that only Purdue could've potentially matched up with. Johnson is an athletic freak at PF who teams can't take advantage of.

The fact of the matter is UNC plays up to their opponents which kind of scares me as on paper they should blow this Indiana team out. But it seems as if they've finally hit the switch come tournament time with the stakes at an all time high.

Indiana can win this game if they get hot from 3, Bryant stays out of foul trouble, and they keep the game close. But if they get in any sort of long scoring drought, ball game.
