NC-Wilmington -8 over Fairfield
Picking on my Stags again.But UNC-Wil is a good team.Blizzard is one of the best gds in the country.Wainwright left for Richmond because he was one hell of a coach.This team went down to Lubbock and lost by 10 to Bobby and c
utscored TT in 2nd half.Blizzard had 29 vs TT.Callahan,Terrell and Burnette can all play defense and score.They only lost one good player from lyr.And lets not forget they made the NCAA's and knocked out USC 93-89.Lost to Indiana by 9 the next day.They lost to Wake by 1 and beat B-10 Minny on the road lyr.
This teams plays great defense.Pressures all over the court.
Lyr Fairfield blew them away but that was with the Twin towers.Stags lost to the Johnnies by 12 the other nite.Played well in the 1st half but got blown out.The score with 4 minuts left was a 20 pt difference.Johnnies subbed and Fairfield scored the last 8 pts.
Bell did come off the bench to score 15 pts.Delfico and Sogadzi played well.
But Wilma's defense is better then the Johnnies.I hate giving up 8 pts on the road but this team can out and out play.They already beat East Tenn and was tested on the road in Lubbock.
Seahawks win this by double figures.
Chattanooga +5 over Ill. St
A good shooting team with a nice road win over Bradley.Has some juco players that stepped right in.Lebo will work wonders with this team.Illi St is in a funk.Lost to Utah St,Cen-Mich and Illi-Chi.They have been cold shooting the ball.Fouling a lot and pressure defenses have been causing problems.Moc's under Lebo will play defense.I'll grab the pts here.
Marshall +11 over Rutgers
This is high powered offense avg 100 pts vs defense that gives up 52 pts.Rutgers beat Temple the other day and almost knocked off UNC.This team is talented.Lama Laama Ding Dong can score from anywhere.Sherod,Shields and Coleman are outstanding gds.Coleman has row 3 range.Inside game is weak.Wright and Axani avg 6 pts between them.Lama needs to stay down low to score.
Marshall lost Slay and VanH but Blackshear is an all american.Has set all kinds of records shooting 3's.Armpala is 6'10 and a returning starter.But some juco players and freshman have really helped this team.Black is avg. 15 pts a game.
The Herd hasen't seen a defense like the Nites yet.but the Nites could have problems with Blackshear.Marshall can't play defense.Rutgers can score though.
Looking back at rutgers playing in the RAC they win a lot of their games.But the lines have always been under 10 pts when there favored.Maybe when they play a St peters the line is 13 or 15 pts.
I'll take the 11 here.Rutgers wins this game.but I think marshall has enough offense to keep it close.
