Update on the Vols

As bowl prep begins, they are going to be hurting in one area.

Reserve DB Stephaun Raines has been dismissed from the team - no reason given other than "violation of team rules"

Former starting CB Art Evans has been suspended for the fifth consecutive game. Why? He has been suspended because he has not made car payments! Dooley said something to the affect that you cannot play when you don't take responsibility in life.:scared

The big one is Janzen Jackson. Dooley mentioned (without detail) that:
"Janzen Jackson is dealing with some very, very personal and family issues. He?s back in Louisiana, and I don?t know exactly when he?ll be back, but we do expect him to play. We do expect him to be back at some point to prepare for the game. That?s all I really want to say about it because it is really personal and I want to respect his privacy on that."

Dooley also mentioned that there could be "one or two" issues academically, but would not mention names until things were ironed out.

With Evans out and Janzen in question, this could be big for the Vols secondary. Will keep everyone posted as things develop.

Janzen, who is the son of Mia Oh DB coach, Lance Guidry, comes from a rough background and he has multiple paternity issues that he left behind in LA. This is part of the reason he booked it to Vols last minute after being an LSU fan much of his life, and probably why his is back home now. If that is the case, then he will play.

Dooley is a disciplinarian, hence suspending a guy for not making car payments, and doesn't allow BS, so this seems like there are some serious family issues going on. If he doesn't play, if UNC has any sort of passing attack, we will get exposed early and often.

Could be, but his father lives out of state and his mom lives in Cali, so problem must be with extended family.
