Sunday night I was routing for the Eagles to beat Seattle- I hated every second of that game!! Why?? Well- my guess is Philly will take the NFC East as they have the easier schedule last 3 weeks of the season. Even "IF" Dallas finds a way to win in Philly Sunday night- we have to play Indy following week and that doesn't sound good. Redskins in finale isn't going to be a problem as we will get our revenge and finally not loose a week 17 game this season. Eagles have Dallas, Wash & Giants- so much easier schedule.
Since tie break goes to better NFC record first- Seattle and Zona have us covered in this area I believe. I am routing against DET, SEA and Zona- so obviously a big fan of St Louis Thursday as best chance we have to get in the playoffs is a Wild Card realistically. That sucks considering the good enough season thus far to get into the playoffs sitting at 9-4.
If we end up with same record as Seattle that just BLOWS BIG TIME because we beat them head to head in their stadium and because they will have a better NFC record ......SUCKS!!
I have a "feeling" we will win 2 out of 3 game- finish December record (our nemesis) at 3-1, be 11-5 and miss that playoffs because so many teams in NFC suck!!
Our losses this year.....
San Fran week #1 when Tony wasn't healthy and didn't play a pre-season game
Washington- When Tony got hurt, Murray fumbled on 5 yd line and just a disaster game
Zona- Weeden 110% his fault- Zona playing well and could have beat us with Romo of course but Weeden was beyond pathetic
Philly Turkey Day- no excuse- they were better- but no question Tony isn't Tony this season without rest due to his back and broken ribs and admitted to not taking shots etc.....
Don't get me wrong- I am a HUGE Cowboy fan and just my honest opinion and can seem like homer excuses- but I watch every video, read every article, interact with beat reporters from Star Magazine and website- and all the cases- there were legitimate reasons that honestly involved Romo's health each loss. I am "NOT" a big Tony Romo fan by any means- I cringe with all the bad throws & mistakes more than most- but if one "REALLY" evaluates the season- you can easily make this case. I am a lineman at heart and building O-line is best thing they could have done. My jerseys in my house are Erik Williams (only guy in Texas Stadium back in the day besides his family & at Canton during Emmit induction wearing his jersey) Larry Allen and then Demarcus Ware. Jersey just purchased is authentic Travis Frederick as I played center in high school football and love him and Zach but love my centers.
Even if they make the playoffs there run will be short for two reasons- lack of Pass rush and Brandon Carr- Once those areas get fixed in off season & "if" the team stays healthy- this is 100% a Superbowl contending team in 2015!! I like Jason Garrett- think he has done an outstanding job in recent drafts and bringing in good character guys that believe in the system.....his answers are so "canned" though I see him as a potential NFL commissioner years rom now......I totally see it
Anyhow....just had to get this off my chest before season finale of Sons of anarchy- that and breaking bad the top 2 shows of all time and super sad it is over tonight but excited to see how it ends!!
