URI -2.5 over Xavier
XU has owned URI the past 4 yrs.But today the streak ends.Barons has a game plan that will stop the domination.West not being there does help.But lyr Sato hit 9 tre's in a 93-70 whupping.
Sato,Chalmers,Finn are all back.Good balanced scoring but XU are not road warriors.They are 2-5 ats.
URI is being led by Robinson who is doing everything.Woodward,Hellenga,Wise and mack can all score.They hit the off. bds.And slowly but surely Hazelton will emerge big time.URI has depth and there defense will slow down the XU.
Michigan -10.5 over Indy
Indy after Bracey is hurting.They have no one else to score.A few weeks ago vs North Texas he had 37 pts and carried them to a 9 pt win.But NT doesn't play defense.
Michigan has a balanced attack.Robinson,Abram,Horton and Harris all avg in DD's.They are a better defensive team.This could be the weakest IU team to enter Ann Arbor in yrs.I hate giving up double digits but they win this by 15.
Fairfield +1.5 over St Peter
Clark is 2nd in the country in scoring.He is the leading Peter in rebounding also.At 5'9 that is amazing.Cannot see the Stags not taking advantage of their height.Gai and Thompson are huge and avg close to double d's in rebounds.Todd and Goode will chase Clark all over.Maxwell and Bell can score.Peters frontline aren't scorers.And with 6'10 Thompson and shot blocking Gai inside I think the Stags get a road win.
Niagara -8 over Iona
Purple let Manhattan outplay them the other nite.Purple have to be down.But in comes Iona.Who knows what kind of team shows up.Iona is so inconsistent.Finally Cuse transfer Deshawn scored 25 pts and hit 8-14 from the field.Iona beat Siena big time.But thier strength is all gd play.Solivar,Burtt,McCul can all run and gun.Jenkins inside is there only post player.Smith is a nice 6'6 scorer.but this team has no discipline.Everyone shoots from everywhere.They are 57-195 from the 3 pt line.Thats 29%.
They are not a good road team.Lyr in the MAAC 3-6.This yr they are 0-6 on the road.
Not going to get into the Purple.go back and read my great Manhattan-Niagara post that I lost.Mendez,Reaves inside should control Jenkins.NU's gds Cruz,Darden and the rest will take out there Jasper loss on Iona. Not a big play because just maybe DeShawn has awoken.
