you're slow alright. do any magas understand what "per capita" means? let's use 1940 as an example, since the per capita # (14.5) is similar to 2022 (14.9). the us population in 1940 was 132M. us population in 2022 was 333M, roughly 1.5X higher.
so if the per capita # is similar, and the population is 1.5X higher, that would make total CO2 emissions roughly... 1.5X higher in 2022 than 1940.
here's the real stunner for you... the planet doesn't give a fuck about the per capita #. the total # is all that matters.
