BAGHDAD - A U.S. service member opened fire on fellow members of the military, killing four and wounding several others, at the main U.S. base in Baghdad, officials told NBC News on Monday.

NBC's Jim Miklaszewski reported the assailant took his own life after the violent outburst. The attacker was described as a "stressed out" U.S. soldier.

The military said in a statement that the shooting occurred about 2 p.m. at Camp Liberty near Baghdad International Airport.

The toll was the highest for U.S. personnel in a single attack since April 10, when a suicide truck driver killed five American soldiers with a blast near a police headquarters in the northern city of Mosul.

Unfortunate, but not shocking.

The mental helath care system the the United States Armed Services Provides for troops in theater is a JOKE ! At the VA Hospitals it's even worse. Their answer to everything is "walk it off" "stop smoking" "lose weight" "eat more greens" blah, blah, blah.... Motrin and ice for a broken leg and PT in the pool for 2 weeks.... But my fucking leg is broken ! Who's the Dr. here soldier? YES ! ! I do speak from bad experience

Yeah. He's the one who's always comparing Americas internet speed unfavorably to other countries, isn't he?

That's an extremely important problem for this country to tackle, but he really harps on it.
