Remember, USC is playing very hurt on defense and without their LB's. Oregon St. only scored 21pts in meaningful minutes and 7 of them came from an INT that went for a TD. So the USC defense gave up 14pts and OSU scored their last TD at the end of the game which was meaningless. USC scored 52pts, so you did not need a shut out type performance. Also, OSU scored a TD right after a 90yard pass.
For your information, in the last 3 years USC has only lost by double digits once (11pt loss @ND after blowing a lead). USC defense in last 3 years has not lost a game for USC. Pete Carroll knows how he wants his defense to play. USC defense basically gave up 14 meaningful pts today and only 7pts came off a successfull drive. Thats a winning defense. Pete Carroll could care less about stats.
In addition, Oregon St. is a good team. The have one of the best running backs in the nation and are very talented. They played hard today and give them a lot of credit. Oregon St. is very talented team, but they do not play as a team every weekend. Therefore they lose games they shouldn't.
good defenses dont give up 540 yards to a crappy team like oreg state at HOME with the NC game at stake period; i dont give a crap about them only losing one game by dd; that has nothing to do with it idiot; stop posting that homer crap; oreg state has one impressive win if you call it that and that was the win against a 6 loss cal team; they have 5 losses; i dont care if they have stephen jackson he is only one player; i love how you post stuff that has nothing to do with the argument to try and strengthen your opinion; it comical; keep it up homer
Hey Scott...BCS is based on the WHOLE year, and a 5 loss O st. team does not mean much. Unfortunately that is the system all teams have to play with, and you will lose out.
