NOTRE DAME +8 - The Irish seems to always rise to the occasion vs. stiff competition, as evidenced by their impressive win at Pittsburgh last week. Now they face an even more daunting task vs. the #4 team in the nation, but it would not be the first time that Notre Dame knocked off an upper echelon team here on their home field. In fact, the Irish have been downright brilliant as a home underdog, going 13-6-1, 68.4% ATS and an impressive 10-10 S/U in this role! Now do not get me wrong here, as I do feel that USC is one of the best teams in the country. However, this just looks like too treacherous a spot for them to be giving this many points, especially with a couple of big Pac-10 road games in the next two weeks. Also, this has become a ?homer? series, as the home team is 4-1 S/U in the last 5 meetings, with Notre Dame winning the last meeting in this stadium 27-16.

Agree with you on to many points. ND is off a great victory at PITT. Dont think they will win, but should cover the +8.

Thanks for the write up and good luck E.M.
