Hey Scott...what do you think of your Falcons in week 1? I really like them plus the points possibly to win outright! What's your take?
...........................................................

I never play the first games in NFL or college unless its just for action. I got to see what happens in the real world first week.

My take from looking at Falcons vs Panthers is that Carolina should be able to take care of the Falcons as they have upgraded with Keyshawn and have everyone healthy. The new rb they have is a stud.

The Falcons have been playing against very weak defenses in pre season. Green Bay game was a joke the way first team defense got run on up the middle. They even struggled at times against Tenn last week and they stink.

I read in todays paper that Mora is going to use Dunn on short yardage situations. The thing I hate about Dunn is he weighs 180. Everytime he goes up the middle he gets pancaked by good team defense like the Panthers have up the middle.

Dunn is not the answer on short yardage. But Mora is a dork at times.

Abraham is good rushing passer, but not that good a run stopper. Falcons got 355 lb Jackson nose tackle but I just dont think he is going to be the answer for the up the middle defense.

The new safetys have not played that well.

Big rivalry game and Carolina at home. Right now I just can't believe that the Panthers won't win and cover.

Falcons could surprise me but I doubt it.

I am just going to watch the game and laugh at the Falcons.

Big money games this year with Falcons. I will pick my spots.

Good luck

FWIW, D. McFadden returned to practice Tuesday for the Razorbacks and scrimmaged in full pads. His is still listed as doubtful for Saturday.

USC, hate to say it

USC, hate to say it

Oh how I would love for this lower echelon SEC school to beat the media darling 1 pete's. Not happening. Mcfadden is doubtful and last I heard the starting QB Dick (don't know if I can say that on this cite) is out. USC wins and covers unfortunately, don't worry they will lose to Cal, ND and hopefully Nebraska!

So. Cal
I thought this was the Trojans 3rd team.

Exactly

Anybody who watch david booty play last year should have enough of a worry to be touting trojans. This guy gave me more covers on SC -40s last season. I knew Matt/Reggie/allstarOline would run score up by 50 then they would put in this joker and the second team and washington/stanford/wash st, the dredge of the pac10 hung with SC and more aften than not came back.

and some here think SC 3rd string can beat Ark.... OK if you say so.

Gun to my head I will take the points with a more experienced team that actually has motivation in this game. How about a 70-17 ass kicking last year?

You know how much pressure SC has on them. None of these guys are proven besides thw wideouts(which often played with booty in last years blowouts) and they are expected to walk thru ark no problem.

That being said, ark defense is very good, SC defense is stellar. Ark offense was borderline before the injury reports, and read my reason above as to why I dont think SC Off is the same SC we are used to. So I like the under big time on this game. Been saying that all offseason.

Nicely put.

Doesn't seem like the whole world is going to be on USC?

I think Ark will keep it close early, but SC will win by 10+ in the end. Too many horses. This is an easy one. Classic early season favorite cover. Don't try and predict a massive upset.

Casey Dick has avery sore back and will not start, Robert Johnson will start at QB. Mcfadden is more of a front to give USC more to prepare for, I will be shocked if he plays. I'm from Little Rock and I am close to the program.Razorbacks have had this game circled since the end of the season! If it were in Little Rock I would bet the HOGS.I am going to watch as the HOGS introduce their new offensive coordinator Gus Malzan. He is very talented and will present problems for the USC defense. I like the Hogs but cannot bet them becauseof the inexperience at QB.

Well they are a very popular team, and loaded with talent. If ark wasnt so improved this year it would be a no brainer. Even though I respect alot of these cappers opinion I think I remember alot of them in the Texas/SC threads saying SC would "roll by 40".

I think there was only like 5-10 of us on the boards last year that really thought texas would not only cover but win. So I don't mind if everyone thinks SC is some sort of super team that can "reload" guys like Bush/Lienhart/White/AA Oline on a whim.

Maybe they can, but I am betting that they cant.

So Cal
USC's Defense will outscore Arkansas Offense

IMO if Ark scores 7-10 pts they did a great job

USC Defense will be awesome this year
& the reason they will be #1 again

if USC scores 24 points they will get the win & cover easily
