Every site I go to all I see is people on Texas. I see Texas at 78% consensus at places. I know that there are some very well respected capper on Texas here, but I am going to go with the Trojans.
1. How to beat USC?
A. You pound the ball down low. IF you have a big man that can force them to adjust their defense, your shooters become open on the perimeter.
B. You rebound well offensively. This is where this USC/Texas game will be decided. Durant is one hell of an offensive rebonder. His motor just keeps going.
2. Texas doesn't have a big that they can pound the ball down low to. Durant plays on the perimeter and their other rebounder is the Frosh James who is more of a 3 than a 4/5.
It might be that I have watched about 80% of USC games this year and only seen about 6-7 Texas games, but I definitely see the Trojans giving Texas a run for their money.
Floyd will have a gameplan for Durant. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to back off and let him shoot from the outside all game and make rebounding responsibilities their first priority. If Durant even has one cold stretch and the Trojans shoot it well they will make a run.
3. Offensively USC has the guns to run with Texas. Young, Pruitt, Stewart can shoot it with anyone. If Texas can go after Young or Pruitt and get them on the bench, this will be a much different game than I am predicting.
